How to interface joypad to microcontroller AVR?help please

Hi all,
How to interface jOypad into microcontroller (especially the stick part)? is there anyone know about this...i really need your help.

A typical joypad will have 4 potentiometers (usually 5-10kΩ) and 4 buttons ..
Connect buttons one side to 0V and the other side (with pullups) to any digital input ..
Potentiometers should be connected between 0 and 5V and outputs to any microcontroller's A/D input .. see picture below ..
