how to interface Anemometer to PIC18F microcontroller?

hi,

i am developing a weather monitoring system in that we have to measure the wind speed and wind direction so i dont have any idea about which anemometer to select and how to interface to pic 18f microcontroller but i know about microcontroller .
please any body assist me .......
