89c51 modem

Most modems respond to standard AT command set. A basic modem connection is pretty simple.
1. Connect the modem serial port to the 89C51 serial port.
2. Send an ATDTnnnnnn command to dial the nnnnnn number.
3. Wait for CONNECT from the modem

Hello...
I am very thankful to You for reply..
But that is a wireless modem which is programmed by PC and programme is stored in the modem non volatile memory.
I want to send and receive data through microcontroller both sides.
I just want to know that which IC should I use to interface the modem serial port with 89C51 serial port. (hardware)

*modem serial port is an rs 232 (9 pin) configuration.

I am grate ful to anybody replying my question.
Bye and take care everybody.....

There were already lots of threads about microcontroller interfaced to modem in this forum section, try to search and you get lots of ideas.

You can PM if ever you need to outsource.
