rechargeable battery

hi

what can I do to increase useful life of rechargeable battery?
this battery charge by sollar cell.

thank you

Re: rechargeable battery

Hi !!!
what kind of battery ??? Lithium ion, Nickel Cadmium ???
And what kind of use ??? High current burst ???
The lifetime could be increased by lowering the operationnal temperature of the battery. you could decrease the chargind/discharging current, and control carefully the discharge....

Do not charge more than 20% of current ratings, and same with discharge. Protect from Overcharge, over temp etc

rechargeable battery

IT SHOULD NOT BE DESCHARGED FULLY.

rechargeable battery

Do not recharge it until it is discharged (not completely of course).
This will definitely increase its lifetime by 20% at least.

Re: rechargeable battery

My current is nat constant in when the battery is charged.
Does it influence in useful life of battery?
How much?
What can I improve this?

Hmm... Let's think a little...
I think a non-constant current doesn't shorten battery life.
In order to improve this you should design a 'constant current source' as a charger.

rechargeable battery

you should not put it in a charger for long time, the base of battery is similar to capacitor it shouldn,t over charge.
