ads import gds

Open a layout, fo to file--->import. you will get menu for importing from GDS2, dxf and so on.
select the GDS2 option , select the file, select the layer file name and press ok.
it takes a while and updates the layout file and you can find the GDS file in ADS.

How can I get the layers file name ? Thanks.

ads import .gds

Create a empty text file in explorer.
Let say "layer.txt", then rename the extension to lay to become "layer.lay"
Now you use ADS to pint this file.
Its done.
