how to implement the summation circuit in IC?

Simple ans. can be using integrators.. (using op-amp)

if you are going for digital:
the adder can be soln.

Could you please provide us with more info.

What is the nature of the signal: voltage / current? continuous / discrete? etc.

if you use opamps for a summation cicuit, voltage used ti be the in and output signal.
normally, it is time continuous, but you can replace the reisistor by SC circuit.

could you explain your opinion?

opamp as voltage adding circuit.
direct connecting as current adding circuit.
