Clock Recovery Circuit

Hello,

How to implement the Clock Recovery Circuit? For 8B10B coding? Can you give me some reference on this subject?

Thanks!

DAVY

Re: Clock Recovery Circuit for 8B10B Code

Any normal CDR ciruit should be able to do the job, the CDR only cares about transitions, it doesn't care whether it is 8B10B or not.

Juripero,

Can you introduce a good reference to give more info on CDR?

Re: Clock Recovery Circuit

you can use a faster clock to catch the slower clock transition....and use a voltage pump to smooth out the clock

Clock Recovery Circuit

I think you can use two method:
(1) Over sampler;
(2) Loop method, such as PLL and DLL method.

The first one rely on the data stream.
but simple.

The second one is more robust.
But complex.
