Hi!

Maybe one of you can help me...
I have a problem with a small project i'm working on.
I built a little analog synthesizer (nothing special, it can only
produce square-waves). A cool little thing, i think.
Now i want to add a Tremolo-Feature to it and i remembered
a tremolo-guitar-effect-pedal i built once. I don't need it
anymore, so i removed the pcb and tested it with my synth.
Because the tremolo was made as a guitar-effect, the output signal
doesnt fit my project. My synth is working with a simple small 8 Ohm/R Speaker.
When i tested it, it worked fine, but the signal from the tremolo-board was very low/quiet..
I have a link to the tremolo-schematic on GGG:
http://www.generalguitargadgets.com/pdf/ggg_eat_sc.pdf?phpMyAdmin=4a28f86a515b7883e7bc35a68d4e7b6d

..can someone tell me which parts/values
i can change to get the right signal from the output? ...remember, i am using a small 8 Ohm Speaker (0,5 Watt)...

Thanks a lot and sorry if my english is bad (i'm from germany)

Your tremolo circuit has a high impedance output. It is intended to be connected to an amplifiers line input stage. What you need to do is to add a small amplifier at its output to drive your loudspeaker.

Added after 13 minutes:

is there no way to change some parts of the tremolo in order to get a lower impedance output?
i just try to have the least work and cost with this...

thanks so far!

No way changing only the components values. There isn´t any power device in it.

One thought comes to mind. Guitars are typically in the 20Hz-20kHz range.
So it might have an optimized filter/active devices that have a cutoff Freq @20kHz
If your square wave synth is >100kHz it might be outside of the tremolo
filter band.
Just a thought.

nah.. it's got a great bandwidth..
i also thought about an amp.. but why does the tremolo
bring down the volume? the input signal is loud and the
tremolo doesn't distort it at all..
i really want to avoid building something new..theres no
space left in the synth :)
an additional amp would be a way.. but can i do it easier?

thanks for the answers so far!
