Your results may vary.

My setup: Sony Vaio Laptop running Vista SP1.

Recently I suffered a complete hard drive failure and needed to reload Pcad. I had the software working well enough for nearly 2 years but had forgotten how to install. It will not install from the CD for me.

Here's what to do (it's very simple.)

Create a folder called PCAD 2002 in Program Files.
Copy pcb.exe from the CD and place in the PCAD 2002 folder you just created.
Run pcb.exe.
It will say a .dll is missing
Copy from the CD to the same directory as pcb.exe.
Run pcb.exe again.
It will say another .dll is missing.
Again copy from the CD into the same folder as PCB.exe.

Keep going until all files required have been copied over. About 8 I think.

Next, copy all the remaining files over from the CD and it will be installed and working fine.

Setup your printer, cam folders, colors etc.

Obviously you will need your license file.

This has worked twice for me now and is stable. There are a few abnormalities such as the layer list is empty and you cant change the global drc rules from within PCAD. Other than that its fine.

I hope this helps some one out.
