hi all,
i am new to bipolar world.

I study PTAT circuit which include BJT and reference link https://www.edaboard.com/threads/74618/

q1):how to get BJT parameter: thermal voltage(Vt), Vbe...etc. from library model under Hspice, so that equation "R1 = Vt/I *ln(N)" can be calculated?
q2):for MOS parameter: vgs, ids, vth has function call, does BJT have similar function? i can not find at hspice manual.
q3):how to simulate temperature coefficient of a Bipolar ?

thank all

can anyone tell me the thing always true that whether thermal voltage(Vt) is 26mv at room temperature for all process(.35um, .18um....etc)
if not, is any way to get the real parameter value, ex: from model library......

Please ask model file from the foundry where you will tape out.

hi leo_o2,
thank for your reply.
by the way, i think vt could be derived by equation: delta Vbe = vt*ln(n)

i think vt could be derived by equation: delta Vbe = vt*ln(n)

VT is a purely physical parameter which depends only on temperature and fundamental physical constants (Boltzmann constant and electron charge), see e.g. this Wiki explanation.

hi erikl,

appreciating the information
