i want to know how to generate PWM pulses and control DC motor movement : forwards , reverse and braking with PWM.

Generating PWM pulses is not that difficult. Get 555 timer and some external components to set frequency and duty-ratio, and off we go --> see schematic below ..
However, this will be only one-direction speed control ..
If you use the PWM signal to control a bridge, H-bridge, in fact, you will be able to drive a dc motor Forward-Stop-Reverse ..
