ADC signal conditionning

Hi,

I try to interfacing a 4-20mA sensor to a ADC and I want to optimize my dynamic range.

My question is how can I generate a negative offset to use the entire voltage range of my ADC (0.0<Vadc<2.5V). My sensor give me a range of 0.3<Vs<1.5V that I want to extend with a op amp (like the AD623 from Analog Devices) using this formula: Vadc = 2.083Vs - 0.625.

Is there a way without having to design a negative supply (used in a inverting op amp design) to generate the -0.625V offset?

Thanks a lot in advance!
Fred
