vtuserdef how to use

Hi all
Is there a modulated signal generate in RFDE or ADS like Port in spetcrum? I want to generate a modulated siganl like sin(w1t+sin(w2t)) w1 is carrier signal frequency and w2 is modulated signal frequency?
Thanks

In RFDE, use "port" of analogLib in Cadence DFII.

In ADS, there is no signal source for FM.
Use "VtUserDef" in Time Domain Signal Source Category. You can describe any expression using "time".
BTW ADS can read Spectre Netlist, so you can also use spectre netlist regarding signal source description using "port", "vsource", etc without placing signal source in ADS's schematic.

Anyway you have to understand there is some limitation in signal souce according to analysis you use.
For example, if you use HB analsis, basically signal source descripted by time domain is not valid.
You can build signal source vaild for both transient and HB.

in ADS , there is a modulators use the to genrate ur signal

khouly
