Transition Fixing

Question:

What commands are available to fix maximum transition violations in Astro?

Answer:

The following are some commands that can be used to fix maximum transition
violations in Astro. Transition fixing can be concurrent with fixing setup,
hold, capactiance and other constraints, or be a single targeted constraint.

Commands used to fix transition are usually used to also meet setup or hold
and max capacitance at the same time during placement, post-placement, or
post routing optimizations:

* astPostPS1: Post Place Optimization Phase 1

* astPostPS: Post Place Optimization

* astAutoPlace: Astro Auto Place

* astPostRouteOpt: Post Route Optimization

The following commands are typically used as a stand-alone fix:

* astDesignRules - Fixes selected design rules on the entire designs or a set
of specified nets.

* astTopoTransCap - Enables you to fix the transition violation based on names
you provide.

* astFixTran - Fixes transition violations.
