how to find to the power dissipation in the transistor of a Class-A amplifier

I always get confused in finding the average power maximum power and the maximum instantaneous power dissipated in the transistor, which is an Emitter-Follower device ,for different cases.

case1: Iq=[Vcc-Vce(sat)]/R
case2: Iq<[Vcc-Vce(sat)]/R
case3: Iq>[Vcc-Vce(sat)]/R

It is great for you to give detailed explanation for it!!!

Max average power = iq rms x Re + ic rms x Rc

Max instantaneous power is also known as peak power = iq peak x Re + ic peak x Rc
