Dear all, I have a question about the technology of the TSMC90nm, I want to know is there a good way to export the substract information to sonnet.
the number of tsmc90nm technology's layer is more than 40, is there any good idea to export the layers or substract information from cadence or the technology file To sonnet ,and this can aviod to build so much layer in sonnet

Thank you in advance~

Yes, in Sonnet's Cadence interface you can import existing technology files from different formats, for example tch or Assura procfile.

After import, Sonnet stores this in Sonnet's matl file format. I have created the "m/matl" editor to work with Sonnet matl files, visualize the stackup and also simplify it by merging layers. The "m/matl" editor is available for download here: Dr. Mühlhaus Consulting & Software GmbH » Material file utility

V13.56 is now available and we've added many new behind the scenes enhancements to be able to handle much larger geometries, especially when it comes to pin to port recognition. We've also included many new scripts for automation with merging ground planes, changing the via drawing layer for MIM caps to a temporary drawing layer for mapping purposes, deleting unwanted polygons not on the "drawing" purpose, and much, much more.

Hi nazi_79,

Unfortunately, the cadence interface is only available for Sonnet professional.
