Protel to Allegro

Hi

Is it possible to export a routed PCB from Protel to Allegro to do further analysis(EMC, EMI, Signal Integrity, Power Integrity, ...)?

Regards.

Re: Protel to Allegro

You can use specctra file format! Also Allego is able to import some file formats, and on the other side protel can export it!

No - the component and pcb file structure in @llegro is entirely different from Protel. There is no converter available that will allow you to go back and forth between the two software packages. The suggestion above to use Specttr@ only gets you the net configuations, not the physical PCB layout.

This is a frequently asked question, and some people have claimed there are ways to do it. However, none of those who claim it can be done have ever actually done it.

Unfortunately, this conversion cannot be done. If you want the board in @llegro, you will have to reconstruct it from scratch. You can't do it in Pr0tel, then convert it to @llegro - or vice-versa.
