fsdbautoswitchdumpfile

During my recent simulation using nc verilog 3.1, the dump vcd file often exceed 2G. how to solve such problem, please give some advice.

aix 2g limited file

how, usually u can put it into the temp folder in the local machine, instead of putting it into your account. you can set this easily in the simulation tool software.

>2g file

Try use debussy to dump your waveform.
Debussy can separate the dump file into several pieces, and it is more compact than VCD.

windows+2g+file+limit

I don't know if NC Verilog has a 2GB limit, but if you are running Windows with FAT32 file system, then all files are limited to 2GB. Converting to NTFS would remove that limit.

$fsdbautoswitchdumpfile in verilog
