How to enhance Linux server priority?

Dear all,

I am using a linux server with other students. my priority is always worst than them.
I want to see if there is any command in linux to enhance the priority.

Your help is really appreciated.

You need the admin to change your "nice" level.
Look at the man page for the 'renice' command to learn more.
