How to edit the *.db lib file?

Dear all,


Can I edit the *.db lib file, or change it back to *.lib format?

I got a .db lib, but there are some warning. I want to edit the lib file, but I don't know how, please help me.

the db file is a generated format for Synopsys.
the lib is the ASCII view of this db file.
You can only modify the lib, and recompile it with lc_shell (special license for it requires) to otain the db file.

funtion of the warning, you do not need to change the lib and specialy if the lib/db are provide by an external provider, you must ask to your provider to modify the files.

You can't edit the .db files. You can modify the .lib files & read it in Library Compiler and write out the .db files.

So it means there in only one direction between .lib file and .db file, --> we can only compile .lib file into .db file.
