How to do static and dynamic test for an ADC?

for adc test, static and dynamic test is needed;my question is, how to do static and dynamic test for a adc? sine wave test is ok for both static and dynamic test? or any other needed ?

pls give me some advice or some papers in detail,thanks.

hi lhlbluesky,

the dynamic testing is performed through applying sine wave to adc. as for static testing you can also apply sine wave and perform histogram analysis, and about the detail you can refer to **broken link removed**.

Just to add:
A slow ramp is more preffered for static testing.

Kester's "Data Converter handbook" is here in this board (in books section). There is dedicated chapter on testing. If you read, you can get to know the necessary things.

need do dft , and calculate the bit num of adc and signal/noise
