How to disable the security of serial port in PC with Win XP?

Serial ports don't have 'security' attributes in XP.
If the BIOS is not set up properly it may prevent you from using the serial ports.
You may also have a conflict with addresses.
Tell us what problem are you having.

Also, Winblow$ XP doesn't let direct access to com port. It has to go through XP's own driver, so it causes some "older" applications to fail under XP. (My personal advice to everyone: stay with W2K).
