Hello,

Could any one please provide suggestions as to how to dectect the movement of an object from a distance in two scenarios.

Scenario 1: Detecting an object moving past sensor from a distance.

Scenario 2: Dectecting an object moving toward sensor from a distance.

I eargerly await your replies.

You didn't mention any details so,
Suggestions :

1) Use sonar (ex: **broken link removed** and **broken link removed**)
2) Use CCD camera and DSP! (see )
3) Use an array of IR sensors on the target's path - they will fire on sequence as the object get loser :)

HI,
One of the solution is to use ultra sonic detectors. There are many ultrasonic transmitter and receivers which could help in detecting motion.

This is based on the principle of echo.

Regards,
Prakash.
