about I to V conveter

hi every body
Can anyone help me how to design current(4-20mA) to voltage conveter using op-amp? the out put should be (0-4 )V

Re: about I to V conveter

TI can do that :)

Go to the overview page of any opamp; this one for example: https://focus.ti.com/docs/prod/folders/print/opa2734.html

At the end of the page, in the "Tools & Software" part you will find "Resistor Calculator for Op Amp Gain and Zero Shift"

Then click on: RESISTOR-CALC
Enter your input voltage scale: 0.4V to 2V (see below)
Enter your desired output scale: 0 to 4V
Click the calculate button and follow the instructions... ... done :)

Use a 100R resistor to convert the 4 to 20mA to 0.4 to 2V then an opamp to amplify it from 0 to 4V.

Re: about I to V conveter

just use resistor .......that will be fine ........if possible use buffer circuit after that

Nope, you can't convert 4 - 20mA to 0 - 4V with only a resistor

No buffer circuit, opamp as amplifier. That's why I suggested the TI calculator :)

Re: about I to V conveter

AMPLIFIER what should be the gain ?????????????????????????
0.4 v >>>>> 0v
2.0 v >>>>> 4v

if you are thinking ===========2
then

0.4 v >>>>> 0.8v~1V not 0v
2.0 v >>>>> 4v ok

i agree with mcs51mc

i think this is sufficient for him to work .

about I to V conveter

i think i can help you,pls check the link:**broken link removed**
Generally,converte 4-20ma to 0-5V/0-10V/1-5V

Re: about I to V conveter

can any body give the circuit if input to I to V converter is Differential input current and output is normal voltage...
