Re: define substrate

Hi,

To define material either metal or substrate, select the the structure you want to define the material, then right click on it......you get the option sof assign boundary, assign excitation, assign material option.

Click on assign material option. By default HFSS considers the material to be vaccum. So click on the tab showing vacuum......a window displaying different materials and their properties pops up.....if you want to add new material.....there is an option to add material...once you click that....you can enter the material properties. ELse you can select the material if its already in the table.

same is the case for metal or any other layer.
