64 lqfp footprint

Hi, I'm new to pcb design and currently using orcad 9.1. I have a 112-pin lqfp chip that I would like to use and it does not exist in the orcad library. The chip I am using contains all physical spacing and dimensions that I need but I do not know how to create the footprint. Also using orcad schematic, i have noticed that all of the mcu's have pins on only two of the four sides. What about the mcu's that have 112, 128, etc number of pins and have them on all four sides? I have searched online for tutorials but have been unsuccessfull. The only tutorials I found with mcu's were ones that had like 28 pins only on two of the sides. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

128 lqfp footprint

you are sure new for design a pcb !!

the first work has to make is to learn how make your own libraries

exist many documentations / tutorials ...

search with google

look in PLCC library , you have exemples as PLCC32 / 64 / ... / 100 / 124

lqfp footprint

so would I be creating a new library in the schematic or in orcad layout? Oh btw... the mcu i am using is the Freescale MC9S12DP512MPVE. Also can you tell me what the difference betweek lqfp and PLCC is or are they apples and oranges?

Thanks

orcad capture, plcc

you are sure a newbie

for schematic / capture --> library is .OLB file

for layout --> library is .LLB

search google

* orcad capture tutorial

* orcad layout tutorial

* ...

also search OrCAD infos in edaboard this board !!!

exemple :

for a new project

1 - schematic / capture ( if you have not all symbols create new )

2 - verify

3 - create Netlist for Layout ( if you not all footprint create new )

4 - start Layout

5 - Route your pcboard / Optimize ...

6 - verify

7 - out gerber files / print final design

ALSO

start capture --> help --> learning capture

start layout --> help --> learning layout

finally look in X:\ORCAD\OrCAD_XX\doc

exist all book in pdf > 10 000 pages !!
