how to count the time

i want the code ....for how to count the time to disable the interrupts for 5 instructions..

if we want a certain loop to execute it for 2 hours...how should we calculate the time...pls explain me clearly... iam new to embedded programming...

lets assume the oscillator freq..is 8MHZ....

iam using pic24f32ka304 controller.....and assume the prescaler value as 1:8
