I'm trying to design a simple 802.11b controller for a robot that has like a security camera on it. Does anyone know where I could start finding out how I could take a cheap wireless controller for a laptop or something and convert it into receiever? Like a book you know about or something.

Re: Wireless controlling

This is not a simple thing to do. You will almost certainly need a processor to configure the card, set the frequency etc. Current wifi cards often require the host machine to load the firmware into the card when it is powered up.
