how to convert the 5 or 9 or 12 Volts in -15 Volts DC?

Hello. This topic should maybe posted in the electronics forum
but since it has to do with a microcontroller I thought I sould
put it here.

So, I have a HG25604 LCD from www.allelectronics.com and
I want to give it both, 5 Volts and -15 Volts.

So, how can I convert the 5 or 9 or 12 Volts in -15 Volts?

What's your budget? You can buy a 1W DC-DC converter that takes +5 and outputs +/-15. for like $11. Mouser, C&D Tech, page 1509 - https://www.mouser.com/index.cfm?ha...uctid=794989&e_categoryid=100&e_pcodeid=58015

It is a pretty nice solution but I am looking for something cheaper.

Something like to built it from cheap parts.

If there is nothing else, then I will probably go this very elegant
solution.
