how to control PIC16C745 with sms(short message service)

for example i sms a "1" to a modem and the modem will light up a LED through 16C745 , then sms "2" will light up 2 LEDs something like that.

any help will be appreciated .
 

by the way the modem i am using is GM862-QUAD with extension RS-EB-S1B

i am connecting the pin2(Tx) and pin3(Rx), to 13 and 14 of RS232 and pin 12,11 is connected to pin18(Rx) and 17(Tx) of PIC16C745 .
