if it possible connect TXdata and ground only(without connect RTS and CTS) to connect a PIC(with max232) and PC?

Re: RS232 problem

ofcourse possible u need to connect Tx,Rx and Gnd to PC from your microcontroller.

Re: RS232 problem

ya....man..no probs..u connect Tx.Rx and gnd with PC

Re: RS232 problem

yes ....you can connect this but make sure that rx from PC should go to TX of micro and vice versa and you need UART-RS232 level conevertor to match the voltage levels.
MAX233 can be used but at 5.0V for 3.3 V MAX3232 or equivalent can be used

Thanks And Regards

And as an addition to Girish,

if you're using a terminal program such as Hyperterminal, make sure you set your flow control to "NONE" or, if you implemented it, "Xon Xoff"

Goodluck
