How to connect the cable with the rs485 converter? is it directly connected to the terminal A and B?Im using the 2 core cable since my circuit design is a half duplex converter. As i know the there is 4 terminal for the rs485 converter, one is power supply, one is ground and left terminal A and B from the max487 transceiver.

Re: Connection of RS485

RS485 allow two-wire multidrop network, usually a ground line is added, You could find a good application note at link:

Re: Connection of RS485

1. Jumper the RxD+ and the TxD+ together and connect it to the RS485+
2. Jumper the RxD- and the TxD- together and connect it to the RS485-

Now the converter is also talking half-duplex like your device.

Connection of RS485

For multiple nodes, the two wire network topology is the most popular design.
