How to connect PS3 to Samsung LED Monitor which has VGA

Greetings Everyone,

I want to connect PS3 to Samsung LED Monitor which has VGA connector but the PS3 has HDMI how should I connect to my monitor

For this I brought a hdmi to vga connector same as shown below:-



But it is showing only the black screen and sometimes it shows "CHECK SIGNAL" dialog box

I checked all the connections but no response

Further, I bought a hdmi(male) and VGA(female) cable but then also same issues arise

Plz help me out !!!

Settings> DIsplay Settings> Custom> 720p to enable analog VGA

I have done this setting but then to, it is not working

What should I do next??

Have you faced similar problem while connecting the same??
