In the CMOS Gilbert mixer, how to choose the transconductor`s current?The bigger the better or the smaller the better?
Thank you!

There are lots of trade-offs for choosing the bias current. It depends on other specs. like the linearity and noise. For example, with more current, you probably get higher linearity but noise figure.

the linearity and the gain will be affected alot by the bias current

Too much gain worsens the linearity

normally higher bias current->higher gm->higher gain
also higher bias current->better linearity
but higher current means more power consumed
