How to check whether an inverter is charging the battery
the inverter shows normal function when it direct power supply (means Mains ON).
But I think the battery is not charging .
I need to charge it external .
Battery section might be complaint .
But experts i want to check is charging it ?
or how to check is it charging at the time of main power ?

disconnect the battery from the inverter circuit after about one hour of charging and measure the terminal voltage of the battery , it should rise . Alternately connect a dc ammeter in series with the battery to observe the charging current

or simply connect your inverter to the mains supply after you connect your battery then use digital clamp meter and set it ay DC A to measure the current in amps, you meter will this played the charging current going to the battery if its charging and you will see 0 current if it is not charging......

That inverter have ability to charge battery ?

As FvM mention in post #2 you can use amperemeter to check direction of current flow and amount of current.

See this uA which can be used as ampermeter with some adjustments. In one direction can show charging and in other can show discharging:

I forget to mention that also you can use Hall sensors for detecting direction and amount of charging.

Some examples ACS712 and A1302 or any other similar Hall sensors.
Output from Hall sensor is 2,5V fro 0A (no discharge and no charging), between 2,5V and 4,5V charging, and discharging between 0,5V to 2,5V.
