I once installed synopsys in some directory, say, path1. And I want to move it to another directory, say path2.

But after I move the original installation directory and also change the related environment variables, synopsys cannot be invoked any more.

I found that during the installation procedure, the install path will be write to the shell scripts in synopsys/linux/syn/bin.

How can I re-configure synopsys??

I believe Synopsys uses absolute path for file link. That's why the program
won't work after you move the tool around.

Maybe you could just re-install the tool.

I think you can do it by hand.
You must find all string in files in Synopsys dir that is like path1 and change them to path2.

The was indeed hwat I am doing.
But I cannot make sure that I will not miss any single script.

Does anybody know if there is someway easier except re-installation?
Isn't there any "configure" or "setup" executables in synopsys??

The is a trouble work.
You must change all the file which was fixed(path/executablefile) when they were installed.
Or you may build some link for the direction.
