Hello Sir
How to calculate track width for pcb design at RF frequency ?
PCB type = FR4 (Glass Epoxy material)
dielectric constant = 4.5
thickness = 0.8 mm
copper clad thickness = 18 microns

Thank You

What is your characterictic impedance ??

AWR provide TXLine software to calculate it.

hello sir

carrier frequency is 800MHz to 900MHz (GSM Band)

It is not the frequency that matters, but the impedance (e.g. 50 ohms). I use Appcad for calculating it AppCAD but there are plenty of online tools as well.

Keith.

Hello pankaj.patil,

Use AWR TxLine to calculate the Width of the microstrip line, for your spec it comes around 1.5mm
The TxLine is free & easy to use...

Iif you have bends, curves while routing this PCB traces then try use EM simulator for accurate impedance analysis
use Sonnet Lite 13.51 em simulator its again free & easy to use ...
Sonnet Lite
