How to calculate total energy in 2D FDTD TMz mode (Ez, Hx and Hy)

Hi all

I have read a few references looking for total energy of electromagnetic wave calculation for 2D FDTD in Tmz but confusing with Poynting vector. Can anyone explain to me how to calculate total energy for Ez, Hx and Hy? Thank very much
