spiral inductor calculator

Hello frnd...

can u tell me how to calculate the series resistance of a spiral inductor..

calculation spiral inductor

Well it depends on the material's resistivity and the signal frequency, but I guess that the mount of precission required for the resistence value depends on the application, for example it is for an integrated inductor?

calculate resistance inductor

i need to achieve the highest Q² Req product for the maximum output swing.

the attachment has my edcombiner picture...

calculate series resistance of inductor

i think it involves stretching out the inductor and measuring the resistance...

resistance of spiral

why not you short the input-output terminals so that you get the direct access of the inductor and c .

you just find the "XL" and "r" at evaluation frequency,

sorry , if this is about inside the chip .

If you know S-parameters -> Z-parameters, than just like this - Rp=real(Z(1,1))

s-parameter of inductor

But how to calculate the S-parameter values ....?

Actually it's a part of the circuit used in DLL based Frequency Multiplier.

For Multiplication action i have considerd this topology, But i'm really getting confused how to calculate the inductance value( No.of turns , Width) as it is a spiral inductor.

CAn anyone specifically say how to design a spiral inductor..?
