When I analyze the link budget of transmitter, I want to calculate the Power of I,Q signals. What can I do?
From spec, I can get Vbias and Vpeak-peak of I,Q, and the input impedance of Transmitter. I calculate it by Pin=10log(Vpp*Vpp/Zin)+3, but the answer is wrong.
Who can help me?
The I & Q are just 1's & 0's going in to the modulator. Their values are
probably 0V and 5V. Then you could get the data rate and do an average
I-Q power?
But the RF input power is mainly the L.O. power. You might try to measure
the CW RF output Power, then send all 1's on the I Channel then all 0's on the
I channel. If you can turn the Q off.
I don't know if I truly understand your problem but these are some idaes.
