path off grid

hi henrywent,

offgrid is normal in vxl when you do a 45 degree path...the only way to fix this is to make a polygon on a 45 degree line.

hope this helps.

cheers!

It is true. Change justification type will change nothing. I apologise for the incorrect offer in the previous message.

Re: off-grid problem

Easier here is to draw the path then convert to polygon then chamfer the corners.
This goes much faster where you can chamfer the 90 degree angles in one move.

Re: off-grid problem

We have a script that overlaps pieces of path with polygons to avoid by outer edges of the path.

I may be able to get a copy of it...

off-grid problem

If you use IC613 there is a Create Wire. Then you can use wire as a path or from segments. If you use segments those are on grid.

Or go to Cadence Sourcelink - there is a skill code for snapping stuff on grid.
