hi guys
I want to know how this circuit works.It uses an op-amp.can somebody explain its basic function.what is going on in this circuit?

It doesn't. Check your source of the original circuit - you have an error. The opamp has 100nF on the output which is unlikely to work. The MCP6004 will be unhappy with more than 100pF.
