I think the lump components can only achieve their idea value far below its SRF, and for example, when discrete capacitor approaches to SRF, the capacitance of it will decrease, and when its frequency is higher than SRF, it should be inductive instead of capactive. So you need to avoid the lump components operates near SRF.

I would advise you to design the filter with lump element below it SRF within the operating frequency. The SRF can be assumed as maximum operating frequency for the lump element. At SRF, the capacitor may not behave like a capacitor, and inductor may not behave like a inductor, so naturally that will affect the performance of the filter at that particular frequency.

Common "odd" things are "dips" in passband of LPF or HPF when components'SRF are near or within the operating frequency or non-ideal rejection/stopband response response
