Old cars? Maybe an amp, just for the ignition. Modern
ones? Tens of amps at least, for fuel pump and injectors
and ignition and controls / sensors, plus whatever upside
for electric fans when active.

Alternator power rating of modern cars is about 500 up to 2000 W. Also "old cars" usually had electric headlights, involving already 100 W power.

Yes its possible ...Google for it..You'll find ample ways..Sorry I have not tried it..But after all why the GAS came in between the electricity discussion???

Hi,
I think an Otto motor makes it exactly?, good need a plus alternator:)...
btw: for me is a Stirling engie + alternator a better solution.
