80c196 price?????

maximum quantity is 10.

thanks in advance

80c196 price?????

1. Intel stopped manufacturing ALL microcontrollers, including the '196 line, in 2007.

2. There was/is a second source for the 80C196KD at **broken link removed**, but given the "avionic" character of the company, the price will be most probably very high

3. As these chips were manufactured for a long time and found their way into some mass market devices (e.g. certian harddisks, car engine controllers), there are quite a lot of them in surplus stock, and/or as pullouts. You can even find some of them at Digikey, for example.

4. The price depends on the particular model (suffix), speed grade, type of memory (ROMless/EPROM), package. For example, Digikey currently lists S80C196KC20 for around $15 apiece.
