OMNI DIRECTIONAL ANTENNA R USE IN CITY TO COVER CIRCULAR AREA....

THAN DIRECTIONAL ANTENNA R USE ON HIGHWAY & RAIL TRACK TO GIVE COVERAGE IN SHAPE OF "8"......BECOZ NO CIRCULAR COVERAGE IS NEEDED...

THIS TWO ANTENNAS R GSM ANTENNA TO PROVIDE COVERAGE..

ONE MORE ANTENNA MICROWAVE ANTENNA USE TO CONNECT OTHER BTS VIA MICROWAVE LINK......

Antennas query

I have seen even patch antennas used for
cellular network design. Collinear arrays are
also very common.

Re: Antennas query

Mostly Patch Antennas and Parabolic Antennas are used in Base Station.

Patch Arrays or Dipole arrays are used in Base Station Antennas which are of 14 to 21dBi Gain varies according to the coverage area. This type of Antennas are used to cover domestic area.

Parabolic Antennas are of high gain (21-25dBi) in Base Station.
This Kind of Antennas are used for transmitting r receiving between base station to base station.
