RAM chips arranged in 4X6 array and of 8kX4bit capacity each. How many address lines reqd. to access each byte

a. 12
b. 16
c. 15
d. 17

solution need

now 8k*4 = 32kbits ,32k/1byteor8bits = 4kbytes

total memory =4*6*4k = 96k ~== 100kbytes
therefore 100kB == 2^16 + 2^15
so finally would say 15 address lines would be rquired for accessing one byte from the memory

Re: solution need

this is not the right answer , its a memory array
check back your solution man

solution need
