How is shielding of trainsimpedance amplifier (TIA) input done?

Transimpedance amplifier (TIA) app notes recommend to reduce the stray capacitance of the input node. They recommend to remove the planes from under the input node. But if I shield the TIA input then the shield would add a lot of capacitance.

Let's assume that mechanical and thermal situation is such that a TIA pre-amplifier can't be located right next to the sensor. So the sensor needs to be connected to the TIA a few meters of cable.
