How is handoff done in wireless technology when a user moves from one cell to another

Can any one tell me how a handoff is done in wireless technology when a user moves from one cell to another??

these all are very good books , just study the required topic from them and i hope your query will be solved ...

it's done when a user moves from one cell to another because the cell coverage only 7 or 10 KM
