i have a station(led sign) that programed with pc but my pc is atleast 100 meter far from the staion. how i can send information( charecter hex file from VB) from pc to station and do u know a good circuit that i use?

if it is connected via com port then it will work as it is.
no need to add ckt.

if it is conected via the com port, it will do just fine at 100meters but if you plan going above 100meters then you will need line drivers

contact me if you need any further help.

cheers

Do You Want Via WireLess Or By Wire Connected

hi
i want a tested RS232 to RS485 and vise vera circuit .help me plz

sorry, i am replying you this late, you can use serial port complete which has lots of examples and schematics on the serial port.

it explains how to use rs232 extensively.

i hope parallel port is the easiest to use than serial...
i don't know why all r saying serial...

Added after 1 minutes:

you have to just use command:

port1=888
byte="-------"

outport(port1,"byte")
